We’re almost where we need to be on this one. The customer will organise the internal finishing works. The customer made the decision to change their fascias, soffits and guttering from white to black and it really works against the buff brick.

It’s looking great, roofers are back in next week to patch in the front roof and roof in the back.

All done, demolished the old conservatory and renovated the outhouses to create a new, fresh, year round space.

Back at Hinckley now we’re roofed in, we carried out the knock through.

This is always a nerve racking but exciting time, nerve racking because this is when you find out if all of your levels work through but exciting because the customer gets to see the space you’ve created.

We had an odd detail on this where we’ve had to tooth in the brickwork and blockwork in accordance with the engineers’ drawings. The issue being we had to keep the new brickwork level with the existing and new block work level with the new brickwork but the existing blockwork was out.

Took a bit of work but we did it. Also managed to keep the plasterboard in place during the messiest part of the work.

Another job done, installed a steel in accordance with structural engineers drawings to support a chimney and we removed the breast below.
